Toc Toc is a Mac app that knocks on your screen right before your meetings. This page explains, in plain language, what it reads, what it keeps and what it never does. The short version: your meetings never leave your Mac.
Who is responsible
MagicLab Solutions, a trading name of Hoffmann Tech LTDA, makes Toc Toc. Questions, requests or complaints: contact@magiclabsolutions.com. We answer in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
What Toc Toc reads
With your permission, Toc Toc reads the events on the calendars your Mac’s Calendar app shows (iCloud, Google, Exchange, Outlook and others), through Apple’s EventKit. For each event in the next 24 hours it looks at the title, the start and end, the calendar it belongs to, whether you accepted or declined, how many other people are invited, and the location, notes and link — only to decide when to knock and to find the call you can join.
This happens on your Mac, in the app’s memory. Toc Toc never creates, changes or deletes an event, and never copies your events anywhere.
What Toc Toc keeps on your Mac
- Your settings: when to knock, which calendars are on, snooze length, the apps that must not be interrupted, the card’s appearance, a pause you set.
- Which reminders you already joined, snoozed or closed, so the same one does not come back. These entries are removed a day after the meeting ends.
- Whether this Mac has Toc Toc Pro, as the App Store last confirmed it, so the app works without a connection.
All of it lives in the app’s own storage on your Mac, and disappears when you delete the app.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing, from us. Toc Toc has no account, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it makes no network requests of its own.
- Joining a call: when you press Join, the meeting’s link opens in its app (Zoom, Teams…) or in your browser. From there, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
- Purchases: Toc Toc Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account; Apple tells the app only whether this Mac has Pro.
- Crash reports and statistics: if you chose to share analytics with app developers in your Mac’s settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and aggregate numbers with us. We use them only to fix problems.
Your choices
- Turn calendar access off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars; Toc Toc then stays silent.
- Switch individual calendars off in Toc Toc → Settings → Calendars.
- Delete the app to delete everything it kept.
Children
Toc Toc is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change ever meant Toc Toc handling your data differently, the app would tell you before it happened.
