These terms are the agreement between you and MagicLab Solutions, a trading name of Hoffmann Tech LTDA, for the use of Pauta. Using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1. What you get
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Pauta on the Apple devices you own or control — iPhone, iPad and Mac — for your own purposes and those of your household.
You may not resell the app, rent it, reverse-engineer it, or strip out its parts to build something else.
2. Your account and your household
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for the six-letter invite codes you hand out. Anyone holding a valid code can join your household and see what the household shares — so give a code only to someone you would hand the family calendar to. You can revoke a member’s access in the app at any time.
The owner of a household is responsible for the children invited into it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country to hold your own account. Children participate through an adult’s household, never with their own contract.
3. Your content is yours
Tasks, lists, ideas, sketches, projects and notes you create in Pauta belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.
We store and process that content only to make the app work for you: syncing it between your devices and the people in your household, and sending a capture and a short household context to the AI so it can be filed in the right place. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use Pauta for anything unlawful, to store content that infringes someone else’s rights, or to try to break, overload or probe the service.
4. Plans, trial and renewal
Pauta offers two subscriptions:
- Solo — R$ 16,90/month or R$ 139,90/year (US$ 3.99 / US$ 34.99).
- Family — R$ 34,90/month or R$ 279,90/year (US$ 7.99 / US$ 69.99).
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Prices vary by territory and are shown in your local currency before you buy.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
You manage and cancel everything in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. We cannot cancel or refund a subscription for you — refunds are Apple’s to give, under App Store policy.
If you subscribe during a free trial, the unused part of the trial is forfeited when you buy.
5. What happens when you cancel
Nothing disappears. When a subscription ends, Pauta switches to reading mode: you keep access to everything your household has written, and you can still export all of it. What stops are new captures, AI proposals and the shared writing features until you subscribe again.
6. The AI, and its limits
Pauta uses Claude, from Anthropic, to interpret what you capture and to answer scheduled prompts. It is a helper, not an oracle.
Proposals can be wrong. The AI may misread a date, file a task in the wrong project or suggest something that makes no sense. That is why nothing the AI produces becomes your data on its own: every proposal waits for you to accept or ignore it. You are responsible for what you accept.
Do not rely on Pauta for anything where a mistake is dangerous — medical, legal or financial decisions, or deadlines that carry a penalty. It is a planner, not a professional adviser.
Usage limits apply per plan, so one household cannot consume the AI budget of everyone else.
7. Availability
We work to keep Pauta up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance happens, Firebase and the App Store have their own outages, and features change as the app grows. We may modify or discontinue a feature; if we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.
The app is provided “as is”, to the extent the law where you live allows. Our liability is limited to what you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights the consumer law in your country gives you — in Brazil, the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.
8. Ending things
You can stop using Pauta whenever you like and delete your account in Newsroom › Account › Close the newsroom. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or that is used to harm other people, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
9. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters, we update the effective date at the top and tell you inside the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Pauta after that means you accept the new version.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of the consumer’s domicile are competent to settle any dispute.
The App Store’s standard licence agreement also applies to your download of the app: Apple’s standard EULA. Where it conflicts with these terms, the more protective of your rights wins.
